    Having just received an email from RBS, thought I would bring this to people's attention in case it affects anybody else.

    Dear Think Outside The Box,

    Thank you for joining Cashback Plus, I really hope you're enjoying the

    benefits.

    Unfortunately, due to an error on our part, one of your bank accounts has
    been included in the Cashback Plus programme when it's actually ineligible.
    We are fixing this now. We do have a range of current accounts that
    Cashback Plus is available with but our Basic,Key and Cash Accounts or
    current account mortgage products are excluded. It is also unavailable on
    our Savings products.

    We won't take away any Rewards you've earned, and you'll continue to earn
    on this account until 12/05/2014 for qualifying purchases made with your
    Visa Debit card. After this date you will only be able to earn Rewards on
    your other eligible account listed below. Log in

    to check your Rewards balance and offers.

    What happens next?


    * After 12/05/2014 you'll stop earning Rewards on the following account:
    oAccount ending 5857



    * You can continue to earn Rewards on this eligible account as long as you
    have a current Visa Debit card: oAccount ending 6470




    * If you don't have a current Visa Debit card on any eligible account
    you'll not be able to earn Rewards, and your Cashback Plus account will be
    closed on 26/05/2014. If you want to continue earning you'll need to order
    a Visa Debit card before this date.These changes will happen automatically
    - just remember to use the correct Visa Debit card to continue earning
    Rewards.

    I hadn't expected to earn cashback on my ineligible account, and the amount I have actually accrued is negligible (less than £1), so it's not an issue for me. I'm aware however that others may only have ineligible accounts, so this change could affect them.
