Hello all,
I've recently been looking up my credit report, taking a bit of responsibility for myself and cleaning it up and I'm getting there.
However, one entry has got me thinking about a possible claim against bank charges. It is a default in respect of a Nat West current account I had back in 2005/06. It is only £300 but most of this amount was made up of un-authorised bank charges. Now just to clear one thing up, From Dec 2005 - Aug 2006 I was shall we say "working away from home" and therefore was unable to have any communication with the bank, as a result the charges snowballed and when I was back home I guess it's fair to say I buried my head in the sand and prioritised other things like securing employment.
Are people able to claim these charges back and therefore would the default be incorrect?
Any advice would be appreciated.
