  • 1st Credit/Connaught Collections - Statutory Demand

This morning received by hand delivery an SD from Connaught Collections. (It wasn't given to me personally but left in the communal letter box)

The SD refers to an AA credit card taken out in 2008, with a debt of £6700, that defaulted in 2010.

Sudden unemployment followed by ill-health caused a cataclysm in my finances. I have since returned to some sort of work, not much but better than nothing.

A barrage of letters from 1st Credit began last summer. Assuming that these people are like all the DCAs I didn't speak to them for fear of being harassed and threatened even more. The threat of SD came in late December. And to day the SD arrived.

What I would I like to know is what are my options and how can I keep these sharks at bay?
