I am bringing case against a Solicitor, the case dates back to start in March/April 2006. Involves almost all offences that can be committed. Breach of Fiduciary Duty, Conflict of Interest, Forgery, Deception and Concealment & so on.

Having Recently discovered, that back then, a new Law Society Code of Conduct came into immediate Force on 25th April 2006. Regarding Conflict of Interest etc.

This Code made it an actual Offence under the Law to allow the Conflict of Interest to occur and it was/is classed as a Strict Liability offence.

It was no longer merely a "rule".

I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to find the actual Full content of the Statute and or Codes relating to the bringing in of this legislation on 25th April 2006, which was with immediate effect.
This was the following year incorporated into the 2007 SRA Codes.

He did not commit the Conflict of interest until after the 25th April 2006, when the Code came into force, as he didn't order the wrong searches until May 2006. So presume he was required to obey the Code from 25/04/2006.
So the offence was not committed prior to that date.

He also informed Bank before Completion that he had carried out all Searches correctly. Which he did not.

Has anyone any idea where I can obtain the Statute/information regarding the Actual Codes which came into force on 25/04/2006? Would be much appreciated.
