  • Do i have to pay back funds for NVQ if i leave my apprenticeship?

    Hi,

Currently in a level 3, 2 year apprenticeship funded by the CITB?

I have completed the first year of the apprenticeship and approaching the end of the second year. The first year in itself is a qualification

A part of the course is a level 3 NVQ however due to some difficulties its only now been issued to myself despite the fact it was supposed to be started the same time as the first year of college and runs up to the end of the college year 2

So very little time to complete it and not particularly essential for me to go onto University as i have previously done A levels previously just curious as i've been told that i could incur the costs of the nvq which may be £3000? haha and apparently the NVQ pays for the diploma I obtain within college. Am i liable to pay this should i leave the apprenticeship early? or don't carry out the NVQ?

I don't recall signing any documents to say i would cover the costs should i leave early however i will check this?

    Thanks!
