New to the forum so will just give you some background.
My previous employer is refusing to pay me the £250 I was promised upon the successful completion of a 6 month probationary period. The actual probation meeting itself took place late, at the fault of the employer, and didn't take place until after 7 months of employment. This annoyed me greatly, as if it had taken place on time then I would be £250 better off than I am currently. I left the business the month after to go to university.
They are refusing to pay me a penny - my line manager at the time (now promoted to Head of Sales) claims that as this promised payment was non-contractual, and that because it was merely an employee incentive used to promote prolonged periods of employment, my entitlement to it became null and void once my employment with the company ceased.
I know it is minor, but being a student money is tight. Do I have a leg to stand on?
