Can 'Trustee' chase an alleged debt in another EU country with no time limit?

I think the title says it all.

Alleged debt dates from 2007 so would be Statute Barred by 6 year rule within UK.
But can a 'Trustee' simply restart actions in another EU country after 6 years?
