I have just recieved PAYE tax refund for 2 years. I am so over the moon about this but am nervous as i am never that lucky.
My question is if they make a mistake even though i have always provided correct information can they ask for it back?
I have 2 jobs at same place of work and pay tax at 20% for second job. I have sneaky suspicion that they may have given me a tax allowance on my second job thus rebate but my tax codes are all correct.
I do not want to phone them directly and question it - as i might not like the outcome.
If they make a mistake do they always pick up on this and can they make me pay it back if they are at fault?
I haven't spent the money but have put it in the bank.
