HELP ! Letters from Lowell Portfolio

Hello im pretty new to this forum but felt that i need some answers so any advice would i would be very grateful. Lowell Portfolio debt purchaser have bought a debt from Talk Talk they say i owe them £424 .This is crazy because in 2015 i used talk talk for about six months for there internet connection in that time it was terrible i had loads of problems with there internet alot of the time i was just not connected and had there maintenance man come out and to look at the problem twice and did not fix it, in the end i wanted to end the contract with them i spoke to them on the phone wrote to them sent them emails telling them they had broke the contract and i was finished with them i also sent all there equipment back to them at the time i paid them up to that time ....now i have Lowel on my back trying to get money from me is there anyone out there with some advice please?
