Goldfish PPI

I have been trying to find out if I had PPI on a goldfish credit card. The problem is that Barclays say they cannot find any information relating to my name. I gave them all my details and previous address but still cannot get any further forward.
has anyone else had this problem when you do not have any paperwork to prove your claim.
