Hi
Does anyone know what my rights would be when selling a car to a dealer when there is incorrect mileage input for one of the previous years. What happened a couple of years ago was that the mileage was input in kilometres by the testing station - I didn't realise until it was too late to amend it and get a new certificate. The testing station said it was likely the technician had set the odometer to kilometres when he was resetting some codes and made a mistake. So basically, one of the previous years has more "mileage" than the next two! It's done now, but does anyone have any knowledge on whether I need to legally inform a dealer of this when selling, and anything I can do or say when selling it to allay any fears? I do have confirmation from the main dealer of the mileage they noted on two recalls a couple of months either side of the aforementioned MOT.
Many thanks in advance.
