Hello all. I have worked for a large local authority for 19 years doing noise abatement. Originally the jobs was always out of hours, and when thejob was changed five years ago to a mix of days and evenings, but just dealing with noise, but added case work for noise, then we were offered voluntary redundancy or the new job; which I took.
However now, the authority has now imposed on me a new job, which is only about 20 % noise, and now dealing with anti social behaviour, environmental crime, and about 80 % case work, when previously I have being doing alot of enforcement.
I was expected to be given the choice of redundancy, and being over 55, early retirement which you can get in full if you have been made redundant
I am exhausted with the job, hate the new one, the shifts are different, and have been told I have been job matched, so do not qualify for VR/ER.
My health is quite poor. As I was offered redundancy for far less of a change in my job description five years ago, do I not have a case to insist for VR/ER ? Any ideas guys ?
