  • Disregarding Written Confirmation

    Hi Folks,

I've opened a case against previous employers who failed to pay around 900 in holiday entitlements and unpaid wages. Two months or so after the original moneys were owed, and right at the end of the deadline for them to respond to the case, they have said they'll pay the wages, but not the holiday pay. They are asking for written confirmation that I will discontinue the rest of the claim upon payment of the wages in order for them to be paid. If I provide written confirmation and then do not discontinue, is that written confirmation legally binding as the case progresses? I've a baby on the way and Christmas round the corner so could do with the wages, but don't want to cut out the 450 I'm confident that we're owed in holiday entitlements....

Any help would be much appreciated.
