Property Deeds Question - Scotland

Hi!

I am in the process of completing my mortgage payments and I wish to know about what is exactly recorded on the deeds associated with my property. What happens to the actual record of the deeds once the mortgage has been completed?
I trust you will gather from my posting name that I stay in Scotland!
