  • Hi all....

    Probably like many, I came across this forum in the past a few times, visited but never joined; not because I didn't want to but just kept forgetting too!
    Although I'll likely be seeking advice as I do still have ongoing issues, I have been dealing with DCA's, banks and lenders since 2008, when I tore up the credit cards after deciding we just couldn't keep paying them; it was a tough couple of years, nearly went to court on several occasions but the worst I ended up with was a repayment agreement drawn up by the court on most of them (basically with me paying what I had offered in the beginning!)
    Always fight your corner, it does work. Never believe anything you are told, always do your own research, seek help from knowledgeable people on here; you are not a 'customer' to a bank, credit card provider, mortgage company, you are a 'source of income'. Once you get into any form of trouble they want rid, and its important forums like this exist, to help and even the odds a little bit.
    I'll certainly be around a bit more from now on...
