I should be most grateful for your help with thefollowing.
I shall be making a claim in due course for unfair dismissal but am having difficulty indetermining who is the Respondent.
I worked for two gentlemen who owned (ie 100% shareholders)in a number of property companies. I worked for a period of 7 years on workrelating to many/most of these companies. I was never given an offerletter, written contract of employment or Statement of Particulars (this willbe part of my claim).
I was paid through one of their companies.
I would like to treat these gentlemen as my employers (iethe Respondents) as they are very wealthy and will be unable to avoid payingany Award. If I put down the paying company as the Respondent they might have“wriggle room” to transfer assets out of this one particular company and soattempt to avoid paying any award.
The truth is that throughout my period of employment I wasengaged on work, as noted above, which related to the majority of theircompanies.
In these circumstances, can I name these gentlemen as theRespondents or alternatively, the names of all of the companies I worked on –or both?
