  • Potentially An Issue With Shopify

Hi, hope you are well, Wondering if anybody can assist me with this from a Legal Standpoint. I am UK based.

I run a ecommerce Sports Store in the UK and have been selling For the Past 5 years ago.

Three Years ago we got into a niche area Which was Quite profitable and demanded by our customers as the service is in demand by profesionals.

We would would purchase Trainers or Tennis Shoes from both big brands ****** and **** and then convert them to our sport.

We Would sell them on website Clearly stating what they where and how they where different, and have been doing this for three years.

    The issue is

We got an email from Shopify

We noticed that your store, is selling branded or trademarked products. For example:

    - Such as ******, ****, New Balance

Kindly note that this may not be an exhaustive list of the branded or trademarked products in your store.

And they are asking for Proof that we are Authorised Reseller .

I have taken the products off sale in the mean time in order to discuss the right approach.
