  • Consumer rights, Rejecting a repair because of inconvenience

Never thought I'd have to post about something like this. Bought a car 5 weeks ago and it's had a number of faults and issues since I bought it. Had to be recovered twice aswell as many more issues.

I took back to dealer and asked them to take a look at it and for the owner to give me a call. I phoned everyday for 5 days to get an update and kept getting fobbed off with call back tommorow. Finally a mechanic answered and blankly told me its in the process. No more info was given. Threatened with legal action and the boss finally calls back to say its being repaired.

I understand I have to give them a chance at 1 repair but do I have the right to reject if this causes significant inconvenience? And if they are unable to repair within a reasonable time? What would be consided an ureasonable amount of time for a repair?

wasn't given a time frame for when repairs would be finished. But they've had the car for a week now.
