Hello, I'll try to keep this simple. Firstly I would like to say I owe the debt and this is not a try-out to get out of paying (my fault my responsibility). I am seeking information to see if the Debt Collector is legally able to collect the money from me from their CCA provided to me.
So the Debt Collector contacted me and as I originally didn't recognise the debt at first, they provided me a CCA with a Statement of the account. I was able to match this statement for a Payday Loan back in 2016 (low amount). I replied the Debt Collector to confirm I now know this debt.
Shortly after replying to the Debt Collector I read the CCA between me and the Original Lender; noticed the address on the CCA is is not showing the address where I lived in 2016. It is showing my current residence instead. This can't be true as I moved home in Sept 2018.
Although I do owe this money which I would fairly pay my debts, but does the Debt Collector have legal grounds to take me to court if I was unable to make re-payments?
