  • My Endeavours to have two CCJs removed (due to unfixed abode at the time: homeless)

I am making this thread as a journal.

I would appreciate all lending hands, whether you have been through similar experiences or familiar with the procedural steps.

    Credit History:

My credit reports shows that I have two judgements against my name: April 2019 and June 2020.

    Briefly elaborated summary:

April 2019: I was going through a quite steep financial stress and potentially getting my car repossessed (Car finance: full 2 years of a 48 months Hire Agreement before creditors terminated - I couldn't voluntarily terminate because I was pretty much living paycheck to paycheck). Too much on my plate at the time: Time Order application form, repossession proceedings and my precarious living as a quality control. I was totally oblivious (I do not recall even receiving the form). Court Clerks said they'd sent back the form as I hadn't included a payment method in the Time Order form. Inevitably, my car was repossessed. I proposed a payment plan to cover the shortfall when the car was auctioned off. The creditors representative did not respond to my personal budget form. The creditor has been registering missed payment for 15 consecutive months till this date - send my complaint to the financial ombudsman April 2020 - yet to hear back). According to the court paper, it was 3 mobile sim-only contract that I'd apparently defaulted in 2017 (oblivious). Consequently, 3 mobile sold the debt onto debt collector. CCJ states £280

June 2020: Car insurance - I'd cancelled within the 14 days grace period, sent them an email as I'd paid deposit and first month payment. Which would have covered any pertaining admin fees. In fact, I was expecting a refund. However, they sent a letter stating I owe them £40. CCJ states £170

All the paperwork, forms and any corresponding communication went to my previous address, as I became homelesss around August 2019 and have been coach surfing until October 2020. I am back on my feet, found a permanent really good paying employment, relocated and rented an ensuite double bedroom. I CANNOT RENT (I'd to hop through so many hurdles to even be accepted at my current place), get a decent car insurance; can't even get a sim-only contract. Currently, I have a credit builder credit card and monthly LOQBOOK undue this hindrance of my everyday life.
