Default costs certificate

Hello,

please can anyone advise what you can do about receiving a default costs certificate, I have one for over Ł10k from a solicitors who acted on behalf of a cavity wall company that we were conned into signing up for a no win no fee claim against 4 years ago that was discontinued because we had to sell our house, obviously we do not have the funds to pay this and we have tried to negotiate a deal to pay some but this was rejected,
