Hey guys, I'm hoping you can help.
I'll keep it short and to the basics as much as possible.
I won't bore you with story's, but the jist is, I didn't pay my bill.
I contacted transunion and experian to remove a default from the water board, added a year after I left the property. It stated February 2016. I left March 2015.
Both credit agencies informed me its public data and only the water board can remove it.
The water board wrote back to the credit agencies and told them that my last payment to the water board was March 2013.
From all the research, the default should have been added 6 months after that date. So October, November time in 2013. But infact it was added February 2016.
The default notice also states the type of payment was annual. I assume this was done in attempt to justify adding it 3 years late.
I have since contacted the water board via email and told them I want this rectified. I gave my name and address linked to the account.
So my question is.. Am I right in thinking there should not be a default in my name as from December 2019?
Should I be looking out for any trip hazards in fighting this?
Thanks in advance.
