I own a top floor flat in a block of 4, the owners of which all have one quarter share of the freehold.
Over a number of years, previous & current freeholders have ignored or done minimal repairs to the roof despite my communications showing states of internal & external disrepair. This has caused internal damage to my flat.
Eventually, all 4 parties contributed to fix external issues with the roof. However the other 3 have refused to contribute to any internal repairs.
What is my position on this ? Are they liable ? Do I have to undertake court proceedings to get them to pay ?
Any advice would be appreciated.
