Hello,
I own a second home which spans 3 floors. Originally at the time of acquisition, conditional of the mortgage I had to obtain damp-proof & remedial works to specified areas of the lower-ground level. I paid c£5,500 to a "Nationwide" company who did the works and issued a 10year guarantee certificate. I am within the 7th year. Contacted the company to return & remedy the situation. They claimed the "Franchisee" who did the company closed down and they can do nothing about it.
Please help...... I cannot afford to re-pay to have works re-done and the issue is getting worst. I contacted the company when first noticed the issue is returning in 2017.
