  • CCJ and affordability complaint

    Hi,

I have just received a CCJ claim from Lowell for a Vanquis credit card £2250 which I owe but am struggling as I am a full-time student. I have sent the acknowledgement of service but in my defence could I ask the court to delay the process as I am awaiting affordability compliant from Vanquis as my credit limit was increased despite clear evidence on my credit file that I was taking out payday loans. The process will no doubt proceed to the FOS as I doubt Vanquis will entertain this but it may have a material difference in the final figure . The FOS will take months to review as I am sure they are deluged with complaints. I have sent a CCA request to Lowell as well. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Once I get a decision I will attempt settlement as I am not attempting to duck and dive from my responsibilities
