Brought a car privately and found the dpf was missing, do I have any rights?

Brought a Astra about 6 weeks ago now and found the dpf has been removed. Now I'd assume I'd have some right if I brought from a garage but beens it's private can I raise this concern with the previous owner and either return the car for the value I brought or get the dpf refitted and charge them for the bill?

Any help will be appreciated
