Im looking for advice on how to deal with ongoing issues I’m having with my vehicle and the finance company (moneybarn)
i purchased a car on finance in August 2017.
now first thing is minor in September 2017 the seat clip that moves the seat forward to allow passengers in the back broke
annoying but we got on with it.
Then in February 2019 the head gasket blew. When I had done less than 20000 miles. Neither moneybarn or the dealership would assist me. Again annoying but I paid for the repairs which was £1055.
Now my head gasket went again (May 2020) again annoying but the original garage took no liability and I was made to pay for the repair again (at a different garage) which cost me a further £850.
now (June 2020) the vehicle is still overheating and causing issues.
when I approached moneybarn they have said that all
of the above issues are classed as “wear and tear” and have refused to help me.
this has now put me in a position where i can’t afford to
keep the vehicle due to the repair costs and arrears and I can’t afford to give it back as they will charge me for the repairs
is there anything that can be done?
any help or advice would be appreciated
I have emailed moneybarn multiple times about my options but am getting no where.
I have no car to get to and from work and cant afford to keep taking public transport
