I have recently voluntary terminated my PCP agreement with Blackhorse. Overall, they were really good with me throughout the whole process, advising that I won't be charged for excess mileage and up to £300 worth of damage to the car will be waived so I shouldn't have to pay anything else. They also said that my car would be collected for free, rather than the usual fee of £75, as delivery by myself is not possible due to the current circumstances. I got my confirmation email that the agreement has been terminated, however they said that British Car Auctions who are collecting the car may take MONTHS to come and collect it. I have been advised that I can legally charge them for storage if they do not collect the vehicle within a reasonable time, so there is a few things I need to know...
By law, how long do they have to collect the car once the agreement has been terminated?
Can I charge for storage? by how much? and how many days before I can legally do this?
What laws/acts can i quote to support this? (must be applicable in Scotland)
TIA
