  • First year road tax for a new car

I purchased a new car via PCP and was supposed to collect it in March.
Just one day before the collection, the lock down started and we were unable to collect the car.

Part of the contract was that I didn't have to pay the Road tax for the first year. I suppose that the first year road taxt was added to the overall price.

Now our dealership contacted me to arrange a collection date and sent me an additional invoice and asked me to pay £330 when collecting the car.

The reason for this is that apparently the government has increased the Road Tax fund from 6th April and the dealer is now asking me to pay the difference.

Do I have to pay the £330?
Isn't it that the first year road tax was part of the deal and it is the dealer that has to pay it?
