  • Worth small claims court?

Hi, new here so thought I’d introduce myself and quickly mention the problem I am having!
Last year I was working in a company and made a few ‘friends’, ended up lending an ex-colleague £750 over a few weeks (2 transactions). I had only been there 2 months and didn’t/don’t have her contact details and ended up handing in my notice just before my 3 month probation period. We had a verbal agreement to pay back £50 a month but nothing in writing.*
Since leaving I have been in contact with a mutual colleague of ours to pass on payment details and ask if this lady can get in contact with me and have also sent, very polite, social media messages to the lady I lent money to asking if she can start paying back, eventually with me saying unfortunately I will start small claims court proceedings if not.
Was just wondering if it was worth me putting in claims to a small claims court as I have no contact details (including home address of the person), no written ‘contract’, the only thing in my favour is the two bank transactions from last September to her account and the fact that I am a student with clearly very little money, certainly *not enough to gift someone this amount.*
I have not put in a claim yet due to just not having enough money to start proceedings and recently because of the whole covid-19 situation and being unsure whether things will go through at this time. Could very much do with the money still and would just like advice on the situation.
    Thank you!
