Can someone please help me. I am trying to remortgage my property after being a Northern Rock Mortgage prisoner for many years. When the searches have been done there is an interim charging order from CF Capital against my property.

After contacting CF Capital and the local court i have found out that this was for a disputed debt (can explain if needed) when i was in business partnership with my brother many years ago. The court lists me as the first defendant and my brother as the second defendent. The summons provided by the court was dated 21/01/2011 and was for an amount of £13961.50. The charging order was dated the 12/04/2012 and was for £15649.66. At this time i didnt live at the address that they did the charging order on as it was rented out and i knew nothing of what was happening until all this has literally just come to light.

I have heard nothing from CF Capital or any debt collection agency over the years regarding this despite moving back into my address 5 years ago, i have contacted the court and they have destroyed the file, CF capital can only give me details of the court documents they have on file and wont do anything unless i pay them. I havent seen any CCJ on my file regarding this

Please can someone help me with what i should do next?
