  • Hello - and the essence of my request!

    Hi all,
A definite newbie in the world of legal stuff. Here is the essence of my request - I hope you can direct me to the right place:
I have been running a free message board for 15 years (circa 3000 users and 150,000 online posts) and its now time for me to hand it over however to prevent misuse of the data that has been posted. I'm going to download the data and delete all posts.

I feel that the data might be a useful record in the future for people researching and am happy for the data to be publicly available in 20 years time - but can a legal person ie solicitor hold it for me on DVD's / Memory sticks for 20 years. I dont want to own the posts and it will be free to anyone who wants a copy - but I just need to know its in safe hands. Do solicitors do this kind of service and what are the kind of charges? I have little bit of money to pay for it.

Thanks in advance if you have some thoughts.
