Help needed please I bought a used Citroen DS3 from a main dealership 20th June it had 32,000 miles on a 2013 plate and I bought the car on finance also extended warranty service plan etc,end of November the car was making a loud knocking noise so I rang and booked it in for a service 3rd Dec to a more local franchise of the main dealer.I received a call later that day stating the car had engine failure and was undriveable I had done 2,000 miles since purchase. I explained I had a warranty and was told it would take a few days to find out if this was covered. Later that day I had a link sent stating front and rear brake discs need replacing and quote for £990, After 48 hrs I called and asked if any news and was told no I explained I was a manager of a Womems Refuge so needed access to a car 24/7 they agreed to lone me one.i called the garage where I had purchased the car and was told well car not here so nothing we can do so I contacted the finance company to raise complaint and reject the car. 16th Dec I received a voicemail from the garage stating warranty company needed more information?? I then got a call from finance case worker stating that he had been told Crankshaft and bearings to which I informed him I had not been told any of this and was not happy as obviously been told brakes corroded also, I was told they would send I dependant mechanic. 30th Dec called received from garage asking if I had report from finance company so I called them. I was told that their mechanic stated it needs an auxiliary belt and that was my responsibility to replace it but they agree the brakes must of been corroded when purchased so the garage were I bought car are disputing this, I then received a call later saying garage agreed to do the brakes. I was emailed mechanic report from finance company which states the car started but had a loud knocking noise and smelt of fuel so it needed further investigation???? but I was to do auxiliary belt. I called the case worker the next day to say the report was inconclusive and I was not happy to which he stated that’s our final decision case closed. The garage were the car still is called and asked for the report to which I agreed to. 31st Dec call from garage who had car stating the report was laughable and totally contradictory and inconclusive. 2nd January I received final response letter from finance company stating Crankshafr and Bearings gettin repaired under warranty and I was to replace belt??? I was more confused. I called garage who stated this was untrue, I called case worker and again tried to reject car to be ignored. I have spent hours on the phone to head office Ombudsman whilst I’m trying to do my job and have become so distressed by this situation. I decided to ring purchasing garage again to be told they would not speak to me as finance company dealing with it. I went to the garage on 10th Jan and was met by a very arrogant young man who asked what did I want him to do about it I explained I’d had the car 5 months and done 2,000 miles yet had not had the car for 5 weeks, he stated they had now decided they would not do the brakes to which I showed him the finance company letter stating agreed to this he argued then stated would do it as goodwill. He blamed the garage were the car wax so I went there, I was told the car needed a new engine quote of £4,500 and shown correspondence to the mechanic stating oh we only have £3,900 in the budget... I asked if they would transport the car back to purchasing garage and was told yes. I feel I have been lied to and deceived as they stated when the independent mechanic went out they asked if he wanted to see the engine stripped to which he replied NO it’s fine. They have told me different stories and were prepared to let me go and replace auxialry belt and drive away with my kids in a car that needed a new engine!!!. Please can someone advice me now what to do as the car needs £4,500 engine £1,000 brakes yet I paid £4,500 and do not want this car back I do not trust the garage were car was purchased so feel now I have nowhere to turn and still not have a car I bought less than 6 months ago*
