Hi,
I was parked on some private land, owned by the company that employs me, and my car was damaged on these premises.
After looking at CCTV, there are several points where it could have been damaged (angle was way off to see the exact impact area and is super blurry / distorted), however, there are also several hours of blindspots due to lorries covering the cameras.
There are no signs or disclaimers around that I park there at my own risk and that I am liable to pay for any damages.
The company refuses to put the damages through their insurance as they can’t see anything on CCTV.
My question is, who is liable to pay for the damages? A piece of the broken headlight was found on the property where the car is parked, and there are hours worth of CCTV footage where the car can’t be seen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
