Hi there, this is my first visit. Looking for a bit of guidance and support. I'll start at the beginning.
I took out a PI claim via First4Lawyers - contacted me and on 30th july 2014 and were instructed to work for me. They didn't actively pursue my claim, wouldn't listen to me and kept pushing me to settle the claim, had 2 so called medical experts, the first said i was stiff i didnt agree and got an MRI via my GP and it turned out i had a slipped disc in my spine - no problems whatsoever before the accident - the solicitor commented "looks like you've been right all along" and instructed a second expert. The second was known to the solicitors.
The medical was a joke and the expert before examining me said he agreed with the first expert. Then he went on to stammer and stumble as i challenged him with respect to the injuries - had a witness with me. This was March 2017 so i only had a few months left and could not obtain alternative legal representation because there wasn't 6 months remaining.
I continued to raise my dissatisfaction with the manner my claim was managed and before being offered the complaints or anything else I was sacked with 3 weeks remaining to claim (5 Jul 2017). I have since become aware the solicitor wrote to the expert and basically told him I was wrong about my injuries and kind urged him to find my injuries were constitutional despite no evidence whatsoever to suggest such a thing.
I can only think to protect themselves from criticism re the management of my claim they had to sabotage. They have pursued me relentlessly since, refusing to even breakdown the bill, all i received was a total figure no clue how it accumulated.
Can anyone offer me any advice?
