  • RBS PPI

Hi there, I recently got feedback from RBS (after several weeks) that my PPI claim (against 3 different accounts) had been successful and that they were going to pay me back approximately £17K...,,good news.

i filled in and sent back the required forms accepting the offer only to receive a tex message a couple of weeks after saying that there is a delay issuing my refund as they are doing further checks into arrears / insolvency.

couple of questions, surely they should have done all of the necessary checks before committing to refund me, can I challenge them on this?

i have never been insolvent but I did get into difficulties which I think from memory resulted in me defaulting on one of the loans.

Can RBS use the total refund amount from all three accounts to offset the default on just one of the loans or can they only use the ppi refund amount from defaulted loan?

    thanks
