Hello all,
im wanting some advice about a mortgage we took out in 2017, via rooftop mortgages.
we were sold the mortgage through a broker who I understand is no longer trading. At the time of purchase (in our 20’s), we were sold a ten year interest only mortgage. No other mortgage options were made available to us at the time. As the mortgage was sold to us at the peak of the housing market and just prior to the financial crash, it meant we were stuck in the mortgage for almost ten years until the house prices began to rise again and we were no longer in negative equity.
We had no repayment vehicle in place to pay off almost 150k after the ten years came to and end and ultimately paid rooftops 90k in interest and still owed the same amount after ten years.
Does anyone believe that pursuing a mis sale complaint would be beneficial?
many thanks
