I wonder if you can help me. My friend is in a complicated situation regarding custody of their child and homelessness.
My friend received an eviction notice in the same time as a court date to discuss parental rights was due. They are not working and in receipt of benefit. They received some support from their GP for anxiety and stress last year.
My friend received a letter from their ex partners solicitor offering custody of their child - for fear of their childs welfare, they accepted it.
They now have a court order for custody of their child, and they need to relocate for schooling purposes.
Can my friend receive support from their CAFCASS worker to obtain emergency housing?
Can anyone offer some support on how to obtain housing as soon as possible?
