Hi Team, last week we were visited by an enforcement officer with what he said was a county court request for over £2000 for payment of dart charges and parking violations incurred by the new owner of a car my son had sold before the offences. Due to mental health issues and an autism diagnosis my son did not return the V5. The officer threatened me with returning that day with a locksmith to force entry to remove goods unless we had receipts. He assured me the money paid on credit card would be held for 14 days and would be returned if we presented relevant paperwork to the local court. On contacting the court I was informed there was no judgement outstanding. We have car ins cancellation letter, completed V5 and facebook conversations between my son and the buyer on the day of purchase and later concerning the debts. We are desperate to recoup the money but have been unable to get any advice. Grateful for any help. Thanks
