I had to close down my business a couple of years ago after RBS froze my account because I was unable to reduce the overdraft significantly. The closure left staff unemployed. It caused great distress and being unable to trade caused personal debts to escalate. Im just getting things sorted, but still being pursued by Ascent Legal, the RBS collection agency for the debt £15000. I don't have the money but have made an offer using money bequeathed from a relative of £5000. They have declined referring to the guarantor document and then offering to accept £12,500. I feel that I should be stubborn and stick to my guns as I don't need to borrow more money after bad.
