In April 2017 I had 4 windows. 1 front door and 1 back door fitted by a local but large and well established double glazing company. The front door is a rockdoor manufacturer by rockdoor and supplied by the double glazing company. The price for everything was circa £5400. In summer 2018 the front door became bowed and started show marks. The double flashing company dealt with everything and receive a replacement from Rockdoor. Within days this second door severed marks. In January this year another replacement cane but I rejected it due to significant narks. This replacement was never fitted. A fourth door came and also had marks. This again was rejected and was never fitted. Two weeks ago I wrote to the glazing company to request a refund or an alternative solution.m and giving them 14 days to respond They have not yet responded. So at the end of this week I propose to make a small claim against them. But as I do not have a cost breakdown (they wouldn’t provide one) of each component of the order I do not know how much to claim for exactly! Do I claim for all of it or just estimate the front door element. Which given frame sizes may have to be the whole front door, frame, side window and top window.
