Hi everyone I bought this vehicle on 8th Jan as you can see it's 2018 & on a private plate, when it was nearly repaired I applied for the V5 on the same number
i recieved a letter from DVLA asking to see chassis tags etc which I sent, I got a reply saying that the previous owner had transferred the number to their new car and I have been issued a new number on a 65 plate (2 years older) I contacted the seller and told them about it and they were going to contact the insurance company it came from, after a few days of calling them and getting no answers I got a phone call from a man who said he was an arbitrator and what he does and had all these years of experience he has, he then goes on to say that I should of HPI'd the vehicle before I bought it and really it's my own fault for not doing so, I told him that I had no real reason to HPI it as I knew it had been in a accident and as it was direct from the insurance company there was nothing I need worry about as to the cars history
we we are still in talks as to what's going to happen but I just thought I would see what other people think
