  • Hi

School teacher since 1979. Phase 1, ten years ago, dealt with bullying issue in my previous school. Started this as whistleblow claiming HSE Management Standards not being followed. (Should have been Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 - no risk assessments/controls in line with known hazards as per Management Standards). Union would not support as Management Standards, 'voluntary'. Then found Information and Consultation agreement was signed up for and was breached - and that I was the rep. I then told the school that I would take them to the tribunal. Then the union stepped in, investigated and the bullying head was removed. I had been made redundant in the process and came out to another job, my current one.

Phase 2, now in a repeat scenario. Whistleblown but with the added complication of the school running the disciplinary process against me and my being off-sick due to the stress of it all.
