Hi, I’m new to the forum and hoping someone might be able to help.
my ex husband has today informed me he would like to reduce our maintenance which we agreed upon 4 years ago and had legally documented in our divorce.
He has since met someone new and has two more children and is expecting a third.
as he is self employed I am unable to work out what he should be paying as I know I receive more than the csa would tell him to pay.
does anyone know if this can only be changed by the court if it’s legally drawn up in a divorce with other financial matters and where I stand with this if it does change etc can I reject his first offer of reduction and how I can work it out without knowing his financial incomings.
Also does he have to continue paying the amount in the court order until a new amount is agreed or changed via the courts.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
thanks
