Hello, Can anyone give me some advice. My mother passed suddenly in 2015, My mother left a will with my uncle in law and aunt.
My siblings after my mother died went to my elderly uncle and took the will. They refused to show me what was in the will but contacted the witnesses who had signed the will. I requested several times for a copy of the will but they constantly ignored emails and letters. I finally contacted the National will archive which stated my ,mother had left me her life insurance and everything else was to be split equally between us equally and that I was an executor along with a younger sister. My siblings had drawn down all the money in my mothers bank accounts after funeral expenses and all the money from the insurance company. I then engaged a solicitor and i wrote to all my siblings and my youngest sibling who was one of the three who collected the will from my uncle stated that" neither her nor any of the other siblings knew of a valid will". My solicitor wrote back to her and provided a copy of the will that the National Archive had provided. several times they requested documentation from my solicitor and several times we wrote back requesting info and not once did they return documentation to us. Finally, they engaged a solicitor and then miraculously their solicitor sent a copy of the will that they stated they had no knowledge of. Then they stated that the will was fraudulent and insinuated that I had coerced my mother into signing the will. My solicitor advised me to take them to small claims court which I have done and the date is set. However, Last week I received a letter from my brother stating he had filled for probate in May and that they had stated that my mother had died intestate. which is not true. Can anyone give me advice. I have paid solicitors thousands and received back nothing. I cannot afford to pay for another solicitor as I am also quite ill and have had to give up my job....
Be grateful for any help.
