Sapphy.................. yaaaaaaaaaaaay.............. hello dearie pie...............well Winter is officially here, had the first sprinkling of snow today, darker nights, longer colder evenings, so plenty of time to be back on beagles assessing the way forward with the claims, and having a good ol giggle too. Am sick of hearing about the chuffing credit crunch. Lets ban all mention of it shall we. It brings the tone of the place down. Life is for living, and no fretting over negative equity. Things will bounce back in a year or so anyway. They always do.................. see, positive thinking. ooooooh and I got a lovely new pair of FMB's for the cold winter months. Shiny black patent spikey heeled visions of complete gorgeousness. Oooooh yeah. !!! These boots were made for walking. xxxx

Ok the credit crunch is officially banned for the moment, tbh I don't think its going to be that bad anyway, in fact I personally think we are mostly through it (well thats what I'm praying anyway).
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO nice new boots eh, I wonder if a few others will arrive back as well now the dark nights are kicking in.

OK agreed Saph. CC is officially banned on this thread. Sounds good to me. I think they talk the markets down. The press that is. I think its just another ploy to get us to feel sorry for big business. I dont think its going to be half as bad as the press and media make out either. A load of rubbish. It falls, it rises, its the way of the world. Boom and bust. Its a normal phenomena.

Right back to boots. Whats your favourite. I have several pairs but my faves are the new JUST OVER THE KNEE with turn back piratey cuff things. They look fab with jeans. Yaaaaaaaaaay x

Im pretty sure lots more will be drifting back for the winter. Now being outdoors in the evening is official not on, TOO DAMN COLD now. And Im trying to be good about wine too these days. Had way too much gorgeous french Bordeaux over the summer, way way way too much, and now its time to be sensible again. So Im quitting the vino for a bit. Give my liver chance to recover. I will have some................. but no more than 8 glasses a week. Thats a promise Ive made to myself and Im gonna keep it. Thats fact. Yaaaaaaaaaaay for the healthy pink liver. Gonna invest in some milk thistle too. xxx

My new lab puppy, well I say new, hes a year old now, Homer, lol lol, dont ask about the name....................... hes been doing my nut in for the last week. On heat or something, so Im taking the naughty little blighter for his nuts off on Friday, lol lol lol. xxx No regrets. If you knew how badly he was behaving you would laugh at the prospect of him being nutless too. Cant wait. Counting to the days till he loses his nuts. Lol Lol Lol. Forgive me whilst I curl up and laugh again wont you. xxx

Well apparently its snowing hard round the country hun, so you have done the right thing by logging back into Beagles to while away your time.
Awwww poor doggy being de boll xxxxx on Friday, I had the same with a dog of mine many years ago and the vet tried him on hormone pills first, they didn't work and poor bugger got out and finished his life under the wheels of a lorry. So don't feel guilty about giving him the operation its the best thing you can do for him, if he's getting a little strange.
Enaid will be glad to see you have returned and that the thread is on the go again.
Anyway I shall probably be popping off soon, so talk again later.

Nice to see you Fendy :tinysmile_kiss_t4: and WOW you have been busy, looks well worth all the effort you have put in.

Well not had a great start to my day eldest son (19) crashed his car this morning, he is all right tho, went off the road into a ditch, could have been worse he was not going fast it just looks like he has parked his car at the side off the road, but there is a drop into a ditch and his car is ready to topple over very ice conditions could not even walk on the road where it happened like an ice rink. Just waiting for the recovery van to pull him out and goodness only knows what damage has been done, but at least he is okay.

Awwww SL sorry to hear he has had an accident, but hey remember as my old dad used to say 'its only a lump of metal its not life threatening', so when I had my accident and cried he put it all into perspective for me really. I know it will be inconvenient and a chore getting it sorted but he's ok and thats the main thing.

Awww SL, must have been a bit of fright! As Sapp's daddy said it only a lump of metal and he still has all his fingers and toes intact

I couldnt get the car out of the drive this morning cause of the ice -we have a really narrow odd shaped drive that you have to reverse out of then turn right without hitting the walls on either side - The car was slipping so I walked instead

                    Thanks Sapphy and Mocha xx

I know I am so lucky he is alright just been back there as had to direct the tow truck and he had the towing iron ( don't know if that is the right word) in his pocket from this morning and it looks worse than I remember it.

Still he is all in one piece that's what matters

It is a worry - my daughter did the same in her car a couple of months ago -took a corner too fast hit a wet patch and spun the car right round went through a bush and just missed two trees. As you say you are just grateful they are ok. Now it is hard to get her over 30MPH so at least she has learnt her lesson.

It is Scooby I think he will be very wary now, which is not a bad thing.

I have just got back from shopping and the car has been checked over at the garage and looks like the only damage is to the front wing but its dark so could be more but if that is all there is then he has been lucky. He has spoken to the farmer whose field it is and they have come to an agreement regarding the fence he took down with him. I will be a nervous wreck now everytime he goes out.

how old is your son? My daughter is 18 . And actually although she admitted it was her fault we found out aftewards that she had a slow puncture and her tyre presure was down. Her car cost £500 to put right . So that was a lesson as well!

He is 19 Scooby luckily he just slid off the road, he didn't panic and was driving slow, because of the conditions, it's a shame as he has just had the car resprayed a couple of months ago.

                              good news for a change!

I have a "new " secondhand lap top

Bad news - no excuse for spelling mistakes now!

Also Bad news - could not ring up for Take That tickets this morning as boss was in.

Good news got tickets when I got home!

Bad news - standing only! but never mind I am really looking forward to going and you never know we might even have a summer next year and it will be a gloriously sunny day!

Oh and SL the only reason my daughters car was patched up was that she bought it from her brother and had only just had the head gasket and other work done which was £600.

So we have now officially spent more than the car was worth and it looks like a patchwork quilt of different parts. But she now has to run it into the ground , or at least until she finishes her course "building skills for girls" and decides what she wants to do next.

How is your son today - it took my daughter some time to get over the shock of her little spin.
