  • They have indeed. In fact, I've recently had my eyes opened regarding one in particular that I thought I could trust. Never again. I won't be so gullible in future.

      • I truly think the site is fantastic, its been so helpful to thousands of peepies, and I do think its an amazingly helpful place, I could name a lot who have personally helped me on there its fabulous but of late, reading between the lines there are a lot of egos involved, and a place of such fantastic help should not have a single ego involved....... it should be for the good of the public and to help those who need help. I mean, we all contribute as much as we can in helping newbies etc, so I dont see why having a bit of fun on a thread, its not like were being filthy or vulgar or anything, so I dont see what the problem is. I PM'd Parkvale about the issues I had and he just said he was going to London to have mod meeting next week or was it this weekend and he would put my points forward. I dont think it will make any difference though. I just always thought these places were about camaraderie, help, support, fun and genuine caring about your fellow man enough to want to help them. Seems I might have been naive again. Im so always doing that, believeing the best in peeps and being let down. C'est la vie !! xx Love you lot though, hugely........... I would have caved in ages ago had it not been for you all. Sincerely. xxx

THE WAY FORWARD ON THESE CLAIMS, IS TO STAY POSITIVE, FOCUSED AND PATIENT, AND ALWAYS, ALWAYS BELIEVE ITS WORTH THE EFFORT, BECAUSE IT TRULY IS. WHY CHOOSE THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE WHEN THERES NOTHING TO LEARN FROM THAT. THINK OF CLAIMING AS A PERSONAL CHALLENGE AND GIVE IT YOUR ALL.

            • From my POV. The people that have helped have been brilliant BUT I do at times think that all the different sites - MSE, CAG, PC, Thisismoney, Which etc should all get together and help each other (which CAG & MSE now seem to be doing). We are all in the 'get our money back from the unlawful 'theft' of our money' So shouldnt we all be talking together rather than biatching behind each others back.
Whats the phrase - Together we are stronger, divided we fall? (or something along those lines)
But I do know that there are real people behind the userids and those people have their own motives, some good, some not so good. I just hope that on the whole people are moving in the same direction.

and thats me getting off my soap box

                  • Anyway we lost about £2.40 on the day, had a lovely meal (carvery). Got chatting as you do (got in trouble with BH again for it). Why do men think it is wrong to talk to strangers?
                    I'm not a child
Anyway peeps, seeing as you have all gone to bed, or whatever I will see you tomorow and so upset about Hedgey not making the 6th July. We will have to see what can be done, no show without Punch is th saying!

Kevboy that post of mine above about you can't have both, was about puppies and kittens and not consumer sites. I forgot to turn over and when I looked up your post was there, so sorry if you thought it was meant at you.

                      • Blimey Enaid, I thought I was the only one that had pee'd the bed this morning, been up since 5 again. Gosh I wish he would do normal shifts, its 5am tomorrow again! yup there's two 5 o'clocks on a Sunday, shocking I know!

Sorry all that I just disappeard yesterday, but we have been having a few problems here, and last night he came home from work and announced that we were going out to eat (woohoooo Blackburn pizzahut here we come!), so we did, then came home threw the kids to bed and followed them up. I think I was flat out asleep for 9.30.

Not keen on Pizzas meself, we ordered one (each) in Corfu once, they were as big as a dustbin lid, put me off for life!
Do you have to get up with th BH ? or is it the kids that make you rise and shine ?

                              • I get up with him, he's not organised enough to make coffee and butties (and he's one of those that doesnt like butties that have been in the fridge all night!)

So I gets up and makes two coffees, then start on his butts, he falls out of bed, into his uniform and then wash and stuff. Has his shreddies and coffee then falls out of the door

I then get an hour or so of peace and quiet, during the week the first child gets up at 7, out for 7.50, second child up at 8, out for 8.30. Then I clear up the destruction and get on with my day.

Him does funny conti shifts, its done on a 2 week rota or 12 hour shifts 6 till 6, 2 weeks of nights and 2 weeks of day,

                                so week one is
                                Monday-------work
                                Tuesday------work
                                Wednesday---off
                                Thursday-----off
                                Friday--------work
                                Staurday-----work
                                Sunday-------work

                                Week 2 is
                                Mon/Tue-----off
                                Wed/Thur----work
                                Fri/Sat/Sun---off

Then week 3 is same as week one but the other shift, so if week one was days, then week 3 is nights.

Basically he works 7 out of 14 days, yep that means that he only works for 6 months of the year!
