And on that argument, I also saw the devotees of Osama, celebrating the deaths caused by his atrocities, would you like to identify yourself with them also.

Again depending on the context then there is always a possibility. If my family had been bombed by US planes then perhaps I might rejoice in the deaths of US Service personnel.

Did the Kurds in Iraq celebrate the death of Saddam Hussein?

Did the Libyans celebrate the death of Colonel Gadaffi?

Did the US celebrate the assassination of Osama Bin Laden?

If I was a relative of those that had been killed by any three of the above I might be tempted to celebrate their death rather than celebrate their joyous life and each of them may have had a hand in changing the life of the country.

And on that argument, I also saw the devotees of Osama, celebrating the deaths caused by his atrocities, would you like to identify yourself with them also.

BBC are prats and going OTT in terms of the musical nonsense. Thank God for commercial radio's countdown that hopefully will not have the nonsense that the BBC have.

Funerals honour the dead. That may include celebrating the life of the deceased but not the death of them.

Not at all, it is not a question of any thing good or bad about her, this is about whether it is right, or in good taste to celebrate someones death with no defference of the feelings of others.

I thought that the point of having a "good things" thread (which I haven't even visited) was so that people who wanted to say something positive about her could do so there and not so that they could continue to judge others who have nothing good to say about her. It seems that other thread is not nearly as interesting as having a go at others for their personal opinions on this one!

I thought that the point of having a "good things" thread (which I haven't even visited) was so that people who wanted to say something positive about her could do so there and not so that they could continue to judge others who have nothing good to say about her. What amazes me is that a lot (not all) of the people doing the celebrating, also claim to be out of work, have no future, are existing on benefits, yet they can afford to waste money on bottles of bubbly.

They fell off the back of a lorry guv'nor so were on the cheap side, innit!!!
