Scotland isn't as shoddy at rugby.
Head coach Andy Robinson was delighted to see Scotland get the better of Argentina but insists there is room for improvement ahead of the second Test.
Pumas score 2 tries, Scotland none. Lack of try scoring is continual problem.
First time the Pumas have ever been beaten at this venue.
Sorry for posting on this thread, but its our little bit of glory.

Re: Football World Cup 2010 thread---Africa awaits
Actually, it was nice being able to turn on the TV on Saturday morning and be able to watch a decent sport for a change. Shame that Ireland and England both got beaten by the 'B' teams of NZ and Australia (doubly so in Ireland's case as they got smashed). Surprised to see France beaten by South Africa though as I thought they had a good chance in that one.
The shining beacon was indeed Scotland's excellent win in Argentina. Even NZ, SA and Oz struggle to win tests played there. Scotland are getting there slowly and results seem to be slowly turning for them.
Back to football (and I admit this is the first time I have looked at this thread due to my complete indifference toward soccer), but I found it lovely to be able to go out to a pub on the weekend and NOT have soccer being forced upon me. Not one of the pubs I was in showed any of the soccer. There is simply no interest in the World Cup whatsoever here lol

Of course, no one wants to talk of the Great Britain Rugby League team that smashed the French to pieces 60-6.
One of my american colleagues at work was at pains to point out that at least Great Britain didn't win.....I had to tell them about the fact that Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland were not represented but that Great Britain would thrash them in the Olympic Games in 2012

I admit I don't watch Rugby League as closely as Union, but I think you will find that it was England that thumped France in that game, not GB !!

You do sometimes get the "odd" player making the "conversion", normally down to money, but they play outside Scotland.

Anyway, enough of this. Whilst an interesting diversion (for me) this is a FOOTBALL thread and as such should not be hijacked by those of us who prefer the oval-ball game.
I hereby hand this thread back to the Soccer fans for continued discussion of the World Cup (of which I have not seen a single game LOL).
