  • FCA Letter to CEO of debt packager firms ( OCT 18 )

    https://www.fca.org.uk/publication/c...ager-firms.pdf

We have undertaken a review of a small sample of debt advice provided by Debt Packager firms and are very concerned about the poor standards we have seen. The poor standards may result
in investigation by our Enforcement Division. This will continue to be an area of focus for us.

We are asking you as the CEO of your firm to review:

    • your quality of debt advice
    • the firm’s identification and treatment of vulnerable customers
    • financial promotions, and
    • systems and controls.

We expect you to ensure that your firm is meeting the requirements set out within this letter and attached Annex A.
